Among the "Top-3" comics festivals in the region

Today comics represent a large part of pop culture, and comics events are organized around the world in various capacities. If you enjoy movies, TV series and comics, a visit to the comic festival must be on your list this year, because the fun is guaranteed, as every year.

Herceg Novi - Montenegro is also on the world scene of comic festivals, which has its own annual comic festival and whose events we follow every September. Thus, for twelve years, since 2006, HSF has been celebrating Herzegovinian, domestic and foreign cartoonists. The center of the festival is the very center of Herceg Novi, and it is characterized by workshops, exhibitions, a comic book fair, concerts and parties.

For more than a decade, the biggest world names from all areas of the "ninth art" have been guests and participants of HSF. Just some of the names that contributed to the quality of the festival and raised it to the international level are:

* Igor Kordej, Croatia - According to many, the best comics author in this area of all time, who works for French and American publishers, and is the holder of the Order of Knight of Culture in France. * William Simpson - Genius cartoonist and storyboarder of the most popular planetary TV series "Game of Thrones". In addition, in his rich career he drew Batman, Judge Dredd, Transformers, Indiana Jones, The Eighth Voyager, etc. * Rufus Daylo, Great Britain - World-famous author from London, who, in addition to comics for the British and American markets, also worked on film animation and music videos. He is the author of the cult comics Tank Girl, Judge Dredd, etc. * Mike Collins – World cartooning megastar who worked on all the main heroes of publishing houses such as Marvel, DC and 2000AD. He was the cartoonist of Superman, Batman, Hulk, Spiderman, Transformers, X-Men, Judge Dredd, and the cartoonist of the book and both graphic novels for the longest-running British TV series "Doctor Who". * Guillermo Ortego - according to many, the most talented comic artist on the American stage. He can boast of working on the world's biggest titles such as Superman, Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, Green Arrow, Lobo... *Moreno Buratini, Italy - For 25 years, the director of the comic "Zagor" and the writer of the largest number of episodes in the history of this hero. *Esad Ribic, Croatia - One of the biggest, most popular and highest paid cartoonists of the publishing house "Marvel" from the USA. Author of Silver Flyers, Submariner, Thor, etc. * Fabio Celloni, Italy – Legend of European Disney production, and artist of Dylan Dog, Brad Beron, Dampier, etc.

* Paolo Motura, Italy - One of the most popular Disney authors in Europe of all time.

Thanks to the perseverance and support of many, HSF deservedly wins the status of "Top-3" comics festival in the region, and this year we will be happy to join the cheerful team from September 7-12, 2018.
