Those who like a quiet summer holiday very close to the tourist center (Herceg Novi, proverbially full of crowds), those who like sandy and not concrete beaches, and lush vegetation, restaurants right by the coast, choose a tucked-away place like Đenovići. Since they border Baošići, which from the end of December until the second half of March are literally painted with the yellow color of mimosa, Đenovići lags behind in the number of roots of this fragrant tree by a reported percentage. In fact, every first Saturday in February, a festive procession (composed of majorettes, trombonists, city music and folk!) - sets off along the coast from Đenovići, to take place in the center of neighboring Baošić for the finale of the public celebration in honor of the indisputable winter flower - mimosa! The Hercegnov Flower Festival (Mimosa Festival), with a 40-year-long (!) tradition, thus unites all the small towns along the local Riviera.

That even the Đenovići are not from yesterday is evidenced by the name Gionoevich, under which the place appears for the first time in Venetian documents. This area was also inhabited in Greco-Roman times, with the settlement of Stolium (Stoli), which sank into the sea during an ancient earthquake. Even today, at a depth of a few meters, in front of the eponymous locality of Stoli in Đenovići, walls of regular geometric shape can be seen in the sea, which were certainly once above the sea surface. The marble head of the Roman emperor Domitian was discovered precisely at the archaeological site of Stoli. Today, it is kept as an extremely valuable exhibit in the Kotor Lapidarium and can be seen there. Church of St. Stefan is a parish church from 1870, whose iconostasis was vividly painted by Hristifor Rafailović (from the famous Rafailović school of icon painting). Preston's icon is very mysterious. It represents a Christianized fusion of paganism and Christianity. A special interest in this church is the antiminus of Pope Komnen from 1703.

Church of St. Simeon Stolpnik was built about 500 years ago, today it has been renovated and extended. Church of St. Spiridona originates from 1870. Church of St. Nikola, built 450 years ago, renovated in 1802. The iconostasis was made in 1806 by Nicola Aspioti. The exceptionally made shroud was presented to the church by Ana Stefanović, born Cvjetković, in 1884. Near the church is Ćelija, where the National School worked for many years in the past. On the coastal road in Đenovići, in the yard of the Tomanović house, there is a small Bokelj Disneyland, full of hand-made figures, crocodiles, ostriches, lions, camels, domestic goats peeking out from the pittospora bushes, and the Snezana and 7 Dwarfs group, the Muppet Show group and other plaster colored figures, originally intended for the grandchildren of the Tomanović family. The author of all these atypical beauties got the idea to create the park that day in the past when a goat really poked its head out of the pittospora bush. Then, over the years, other figures and groups were created. The oldest one is just that – a goat's head sticking out of the bush! A part of the mentioned atmosphere can be seen today only from the coastal road.

Local employees are very hardworking and diligent. Each highlighted the best he has from tradition. The Fanfani family has a stone coat of arms on the front of their palace, today a hotel in the center of the tourist complex, others boast of well-kept Mediterranean gardens and rare plants, others boast of the fact that even a child can throw a pebble to the sea from their apartments, others are owners of small boats and take guests to numerous picnic spots... In the summer, tourist boats regularly travel to the idyllic town of Rose on the Luštica peninsula, to the most popular Herzegovinian excursion beach Žanjic, and further - to the popular Blue Cave and Mamula Island at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro). You can also take boats from Đenovići to the interior of the Gulf: to Perast, to the Peraški Islands, with an emphasis on a unique world attraction - the artificial island of Our Lady of Škrpjela, a unique nautical museum. By boat you can go to Kotor (Montenegro), and to the Island of Flowers in the Tivat Bay, i.e. to the island of Miholjska prevlaka - on which Saint Sava personally, in 1219, erected the first bishopric of Zeta. Today there is a monastery on the Island of Flowers.

Tourist officials from Đenovići also take guests on excursions by bus, arrange monastery tours, trips to Lake Skadar, but also to nearby Dubrovnik, an ancient city in the immediate vicinity. The atmosphere of rafting on the Tara River, the atmosphere of rafting on the Tear of Europe, can also be arranged in Đenovići, without the obligation to go to nearby Herceg Novi for similar reservations. Đenovići is the right place for a perfect vacation, without noise, isolated enough to defy the effects of civilization, and close enough to the sea to be proud of its privileged position.
