Danilovgrad

Danilovgrad is a welcoming town in central Montenegro, set along the banks of the Zeta river in a fertile valley that has been cultivated since Roman times. Often overlooked by tourists rushing between the coast and the mountains, Danilovgrad rewards those who pause with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent local wine, and proximity to one of Montenegro's most extraordinary landmarks — the cliff-face Ostrog Monastery, a place of pilgrimage carved into a sheer rock wall.
