Just over ten kilometers from Tivat Airport, on the way to Budva, when you turn right at the intersection leading to Kotor, you will take the road to Luštica, i.e. Roses.

On the way to Rose, you pass through picturesque coastal settlements, Krašiće and Zabrđe, from where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the Kumbor Strait, Tivat and Herzegnov bays. The road then takes you to the very edge of the Luštica peninsula from where you can see the entrance to the bay, the neighboring Cape Kobila, Ilinica, Prevlaka, Herceg Novi and the inner part of the peninsula with fields surrounded by stone borders, overgrown with olive trees and other Mediterranean vegetation.

Then the descent begins, little by little behind each curve more and more Roses can be seen. Rose is one of the oldest settlements in our region. They are mentioned in many historical writings as a settlement of Resnium as early as the fourth century. It is recorded that in the year 841 they were looted by the Saracens during their campaigns. On Rosa today there are very important archaeological sites both on land and in the sea.

A large number of divers come to these areas to engage in underwater archeological research and to view old shipwrecks from long ago that lie on the bottom. Rose can also be reached by sea. Every day, a large number of tourist boats, mostly from Herceg Novi, Tivat, but also Budva, bring tourists to this still completely preserved beautiful Mediterranean town.

On the urban part along the waterfront where there are several restaurants, you come across the old fortress Forte Rose, which also has a restaurant. On the other side of the hill in a quiet cove called Male Rose, right next to the urban part, which can be reached by a pleasant walk through this ancient settlement, there is a sandy beach.
