Mojkovac

Mojkovac is a picturesque mountain town positioned in the Tara river valley between the popular resort areas of Kolašin and Žabljak. The town holds a proud place in Montenegrin history as the site of the Battle of Mojkovac in 1916, a pivotal World War I engagement where Montenegrin forces made a heroic stand — an event commemorated each January and honoured at the town's memorial. Mojkovac's greatest natural asset is its proximity to Biogradska Gora National Park, home to one of Europe's last remaining primeval rainforests and the stunning glacial Lake Biograd.
