In a quiet, and slightly more private part of the municipality of Herceg Novi, between Meljin and Bijela, is the coastal town of Kumbor. Currently, the largest investment in the field of tourism in Europe has been started in Kumbor - "Portonovi", and the first planned guests in the only "One and Only" resort in Europe will arrive in May 2016. The Socar company owns eight more exclusive complexes around the world from the Bahamas, South Africa, Dubai, Maldives, Mauritius. All of them are located in the most beautiful locations around the world, they exude individual authenticity of styles and characteristics of local culture. The company Azmont Investments will invest 500 million Euros in the construction of the luxury complex Portonovi, which will be built on about 190,000 m2. In this beautiful Mediterranean place, the construction of a five-star hotel, two sandy beaches, a spa and wellness resort, a conference center with a capacity of 1,200 seats, 100 luxury villas on the beach itself, villas with mountain and sea views, Portonovi marina with 250 moorings for megayachts, Portonovi beach club, Portonovi VIP yachting club, tennis club, a podium for landing helicopters is planned. Small squares and streets will be decorated with over 100 shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants and cafes. The botanical garden and public park with a playground for children, as well as the monument park, and the chapel of Saint Neđelja from the 16th century have been preserved. Two Kumbor outdoor swimming pools and 2 km of Lungomare promenade that will be open to the public. A fish and organic food market is planned, where fresh fish will be sold, as well as locally produced seasonal fruits and vegetables.
